Man has it been awhile since my last post. A lot has happened, but God is using it in some amazing ways. I am not attending Abilene Christian this semester due to my grades getting too low. But like I said God has been alongside any path I could have chosen and I am eternally grateful to Him for that. This whole situation with me leaving ACU has taught me how to live with uncertainty. I struggled through the situation of leaving my friends but I learned several valuable lessons from it.
I learned that getting help is alright to do. Me, being the stubborn guy that I am, always wants to do things under my own power. Being in a wheelchair left me with the assumption that I needed to prove myself as a capable person, but God taught me that I will never be completly capable 100% of the time. I need people around me to help.
I also changed my major at ACU. I am no longer a Youth and Family Ministry major. God has shown me that I have several weaknesses in that field and He is pushing me in the direction of what I think is Social Work. We shall see how the next few months pan out for my future career choice.
God has also brought some really amazing people into my life because of this situation. I’ve always heard “the greatest thing you will ever learn is to love and be loved in return” and it has been proven in my life yet again. Going through a life changing experience really has shown me who my true friends are, it has been a blessing to know who truely cares. God is great, and I am encouraged by the things He does for me everyday.
Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, `Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and it will be done.
